The Krebet Baru Sugar Mill is located in the village of Krebet, Bululawang subdistrict, Malang Regency. It was established in 1906 by the Dutch East Indies government and later came under the ownership of the Oei Tiong Ham Concern (OTHC). Production was temporarily halted during the revolution. In 1953, OTHC partnered with Bank Industri Negara to rebuild the facility. In 1957, the factory resumed operations, processing farmers’ sugarcane and producing sugar of Superior High Sugar (SHS) quality.
The Indonesian government took over the PG Krebet factory in 1961 and assigned responsibility for its management to the Ministry of Finance. In 1964, the Ministry of Finance established PT PPEN Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia.
